Agbaso’s kinsmen back Mudumere

Political leaders and other stakeholders  under the aegis of Obiri Ukwu Owerre in Owerri  Senatorial zone, the political base of the impeached  Deputy Governor, Jude Agbaso,  Monday threw their weight behind the new Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, stating that his emergence was an act of God  which will reposition the zone.
The group also blamed Jude Agbaso for his woes.
During a courtesy visit to the office of the deputy governor by the Obiri Ukwu Owerre, leader of the delegation, Prof. Peter Akanwa, said the leaders in the zone having followed the circumstances that led to the impeachment of the former deputy governor, concluded that it was purely an action supported by the Constitution of the country, adding that the zone has decided to support the new deputy governor,  Prince Eze Mudamere, who is also from the zone to succeed him.
According to him, “your predecessor is our brother too but because God has predetermined your emergence, we have no other choice but to pray and support you to succeed in your new assignment. We also commend the state governor for his commitment to the development of Owerri zone. We are  confident that you will bring your vast experience to bear in the course of your duty as the deputy governor  to our  state”.
Also, the Commissioner of Works, Mr. Nick Oparandudu, who was also a part of the delegation, noted that Okorocha has fulfilled his campaign promises to the people of the zone.
“Owerri zone cannot have it better than now. Under the current administration the zone has experienced  unprecedented level of development and we are enternally indebted to the Okorocha-led administration”.
Okparandudu further charged the political leaders to continue to support the state government’s rescue mission agenda by resisting pressure to distract the government, stating that, “we in Owerri zone are known for our steadfastness and we will continue to support Okorocha in all his efforts to develop Imo State”.
Responding, Madumere, expressed gratitude to the leaders for their support and encouragement, assuring that as a child of destiny, he will live up to the expectations and confidence reposed in him by the state governor and the people of Imo State.
His words: “I never dreamt to be the deputy governor of Imo State but as a child of destiny I will not disappoint my people”.
