First Abia Youth Empowerment Summit; CBN, Governor to speak


The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is billed to speak on the topic: “Youth Empowerment as Panacea to Insecurity,” at the first Abia Youth Empowerment Summit, A-YES on Wednesday.
According to a statement signed by Abia State commissioner for information and Strategy, Eze Chikamnayo, the event which holds at Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia will witness lecture, award of people empowerment tools such as buses, cars, tricycles, among others, and a gala night.
The commissioner also stated that the initiative will be the first time in 20 years that Abia youths will assemble in unity to celebrate security, stability and prosperity ushered in by Governor Theodore Orji, whose transformational impact on Abia State has been widely celebrated.
He further explained that the award ceremony and gala night which will be graced by a galaxy of Nigerian artistes are scheduled for Umuahia Township Stadium in the afternoon and evening of April 24.
