Jonathan Stop meddling in NGF affairs; else, I’ll join APC – Amaechi

Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Rivers State Governor and the faction Chairman of Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), has said enough is enough in what he construed as the president Goodluck Jonathan’s interference on the affairs of the Governors Forum.
Amaechi warned President Goodluck Jonathan and his handlers to hands-off the affairs of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), else he will quit the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the yet-to-be registered opposition merger All Progressive Congress (APC).
What baffles many Nigerian is the said involvement of the President, especially when all the people the Media claimed that the President was fronting for the Chairmanship position did not partake in the election. Governors Akpabio and Shema did not stand for NGF election. Governor Jang was overseas and was never considered by anyone for the post by his colleagues. He came into Nigeria from overseas on the election day and was chosen by the Northern governors, a position he rejected because of his age. Governor Jang was pressured to change his mind about 50 minutes to the election time.
One wonders where the president came into these arrangement by the Northern governors and being accused of meddling?
According to Ms Tolulope Lawal, a media commentator, “Amaechi is just digging his political grave gradually, I appeal and beg him to join APC. “What a desperate man, he should forget the ambition of becoming the vice-president. 2007-2011…..Vice president: south south 2011-2015…..President: south south. The vice-president position cannot go back to that zone (south south) again.
For his Numerous treat and warnings to the President of federal Republic of Nigeria, Governor Amaechi and those beating the war drums for him should make sure that he fights his battle to the last and face whatever consequence that will arise.
